Make the change as a Manager of Risk Infrastructure and Data Management Unit 

The Manager of Risk Infrastructure and Data Management Unit will be joining the Luminor Risk Division which is responsible for improving data and infrastructure capabilities.

Manager of Risk Infrastructure and Data Management Unit will lead the team directly responsible of developing and maintaining the infrastructure and data management of the Risk Division.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Risk Data Platform, which stores, manages and integrates data and applications that support the key functions and processes of the Risk Division, including provisioning, risk modelling, capital models etc.;
  • Develop and improve risk data governance, quality framework and policy;
  • Ensure seamless delivery and quality of available risk data, maintain and improve legacy calculators;
  • Build BI capabilities in the Risk organization that support strategic business objectives;
  • Collaborate with counterparts in IT, Finance and other departments across the bank to create and align on data improvement initiatives towards the target infrastructure;
  • Provide direction on what emerging technologies should be incorporated into the Risk infrastructure and processes to successfully deliver the overall bank and IT strategy;
  • Apply your experience and skills to collaboratively transform Luminor's Risk Division into a best-in class organization.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in an IT or STEM related field (Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics) or equivalent work experience;
  • 7 or more years of experience in IT, data infrastructure or technical business/ industry field of work;
  • 3 or more years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting and staffing;
  • Knowledge and skills about technology and data architecture areas such as data warehouses, analytical servers, storage, public cloud and BI tools (e.g. Python), data bases (SQL);
  • Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading data transformational initiatives in complex, dynamic environments;
  • Previous experience working with risk data and processes is preferable but not mandatory;
  • Demonstrated experience of working in cross functional teams and managing stakeholders with a strong orientation towards achieving results;
  • Respected and trusted leadership with proven track record of achievement, and reputation as a leader of change and passion about speed and simplicity;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to visualize and report insights creatively in a variety of formats to various stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • Initiative and high-level of ownership and responsibility;
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and across functions with a passion for coaching colleagues;
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexibility, and patience in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English – both verbally and in writing (MS PowerPoint / MS Word).
