As a member of the Risk team, Credit Controller will be responsible for Luminor Group’s credit control function in Lithuania. Credit Controller performs an independent oversight, monitoring and control of credit risk and credit risk management; monitors and controls the quality of the credit processes as well as the quality of the credit portfolio according to internal guidelines to meet regulatory requirements and strategic goals of the Bank.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Establish and maintain the credit control function and assessing its setup, functioning and effectiveness. Plan, organize and manage work of Credit Control function in Lithuania according to the Group Credit Control guidelines and annual plans
  • Ensure credit risk in Luminor Lithuania to be identified, assessed, monitored, tested and independently reported, and organization advised on in accordance with applicable laws, policies and regulations
  • Manage the implementation of all aspects of the credit control function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report credit risk
  • Establish and oversee an effective credit control program on local country level
  • Develop policies and procedures required for effective credit control function
  • Monitor that 1st line of defense has established proper controls
  • Monitor quality of the portfolio
  • Monitor and control quality and compliance of credit processes
  • Monitor and control internal rating and scoring process
  • Monitor and control problem customers
  • Carry out Loan Loss Review process together with Credit Risk and Risk Analysis
  • Confirm that loan losses are booked according to CC or other approvals
  • Establish and maintain efficient cooperation with other internal control functions

What experience and knowledge you should have?

  • Experience in risk management, compliance or internal control functions
  • Strategic planning experience in cross-border/ matrix environment
  • Experience in communicating with regulators and managing regulatory enquiries and inspections (will be considered as advantage)
  • Higher education in finance, economics or similar
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • Effective knowledge of prevailing legal acts and best practice standards in the field of credit risk management
  • Good understanding of banking market environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Objectivity, ability to act independently with high ethical standards
  • Contributing with a high level of energy and positive attitude
  • Full working proficiency in English

Salary range offered for this position starts from 2500 EURO before the taxes.*

*The salary level for the final candidate depends on the level of experience and competences. In Luminor, the salary is one part of the overall remuneration policy.
