This position is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the litigations affecting an international company and its affiliates. In this role, you will not only handle some of the most cutting-edge legal issues facing the banking industry, but you will also work closely with Recovery & Business Affairs departments to develop a well-rounded experience of working in the banking industry.

In Luminor you’ll get to:

  • Primary responsibility for all disputes Pan-Baltic, overseeing a team of in-house and external lawyers.
  • Analyze claims/litigation to effectively participate in decisions related to resolution strategy
  • Advise executives and senior management on strength of claims and defenses, dispute avoidance and resolution
  • Juggle lots of simultaneous tasks and triage to make sure the right matters get your attention.
  • Get your hands dirty and dig in on projects.
  • Work well as part of a team — both with other lawyers and with non-legal stakeholders.
  • Interact Luminor’s internal business units, outside and opposing counsel.
  • Work on miscellaneous legal projects that arise

Experience and qualifications needed for the position:

  • Master degree in Law.
  • 3-4 years of experience practicing litigation with an emphasis on private law.
  • Experience in negotiations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interface with outside attorneys, senior management and internal employees.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently, follow deadlines, effectively manage time and multi-task.
  • Excellent writing, communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
  • Full working proficiency of English (written and verbal)
